Polis Malaysia

Terbaca The Star Online tadi pasai couple ni kena tangkap and suspect as bookie.. lepas tu kes depa dismissed, tapi bahan bukti (duit rm7K) sampai la ni tak dapat balik? pasai apa lambat nak bagi balik benda orang yang tak bersalah tu? ka duit tu dah habih dah kena joli?

Couple waiting for cops to return cash
KLANG: When businessman Lim Wah Bee and his wife Chan Peck Choo were arrested in February, police seized as evidence almost RM7,000 from the couple who were suspected illegal bookies.

The couple were charged in court with the offence but on Feb 14 their lawyer informed them that the case had been dismissed.

While the court has refunded the RM12,000 that they had posted for bail, they are still waiting for the police to return the RM7,000, handphones, calculators and other items confiscated from them.

The couple from Klang Utama lodged a police report on Wednesday.

Lim told a press conference at the Klang Pasar Besar DAP branch service centre yesterday that he had asked the investigating officer many times for the money only to be told that the cash “could not be released yet.”

When contacted, Klang OCPD Asst Comm Azizan Abu Taat said the seized money was still with the police.

He said the case was not dismissed, adding that Lim and Chan were merely given a discharge not amounting to acquittal due to technicalities.

“So until we decide what to do next, we have to hold on to the evidence,” he said.

April Fool yang bodoh

Harian Metro

Edisi Selatan : Penerbangan batal kerana ‘April Fool’Oleh Ibrahim Isa

Ketua Polis Daerah Johor Bahru Utara, Pemangku Asisten Komisioner Johari Yahya, berkata sebaik menerima maklumat itu, krew pesawat terbabit memaklumkan penyelianya sebelum kapten pesawat menghubungi menara kawalan.
